European Open Science is a UK-based publisher of peer-reviewed international academic journals. We publish across multiple disciplines through a portfolio of journals designed to make research immediately accessible to readers worldwide. 

Our Mission

We believe that research moves faster when it can be read, verified, and built upon without barriers. Our mission is to support researchers with a publishing experience that is:

• Open: published articles are freely available to read, download, and share.
• Transparent: clear policies and journal-level information are publicly available.
• Trustworthy: editorial oversight, ethical standards, and research integrity checks are central to our workflow.

What we publish

European Open Science publishes a portfolio of 32 peer-reviewed journals covering health & medical sciences, natural sciences, engineering & technology, and social sciences, humanities & arts. Each journal defines its aims, scope, and section policies on its own journal pages.

Editorial oversight & peer review

Our journals are guided by editorial teams and international scholars who support the peer-review and decision-making process. Peer review is managed at the journal level and described in each journal’s Peer Review Process page. Editorial decisions are made based on scholarly merit, relevance to scope, and adherence to ethical standards.

Research integrity and publication ethics

We take research integrity seriously and maintain a zero-tolerance approach to plagiarism. Submissions may be screened using plagiarism-prevention tools and editorial checks before review and/or during evaluation. When concerns arise, editors may request clarifications, corrections, or take editorial action in line with our policies.

We also expect clear authorship, proper citation practices, and disclosure of potential conflicts of interest. Our full ethics and policy statements are available on our Policies page.

Open access and licensing

All research articles are published open access. Licensing and re-use terms are provided in our policies and on journal pages, so authors and readers can clearly understand how content may be shared and re-used.

Indexing, identifiers, and discoverability

To support discoverability and citation tracking, published content is registered with Crossref and assigned DOIs. Our content is also indexed in services including Google Scholar, ROAD, SCILIT, WorldCat, and ScienceOpen (coverage may vary by journal and over time).

Digital preservation

We support long-term access and preservation through digital archiving (including LOCKSS), helping ensure that scholarly content remains available over time.

Article processing fees

Some journals charge an article processing fee (APC) to support editorial handling, production, and platform operations. APC information is listed transparently on each journal’s Article Processing Fee page.
